The Nigerian Chamber of Shipping (NCS), in partnership with Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise Limited

The Nigerian Chamber of Shipping (NCS), in partnership with Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise Limited, hosted a high-level breakfast meeting on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, which focused on exploring the transformative potential of the Lekki Deep Sea Port in reshaping trade, shipping, and logistics in Nigeria.

The event was graced by the Distinguished presence of the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola, who gave the keynote speech, alongside the MD NPA, MD NIMASA, ED of Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr Wang Qiang, MD Lekki Port, the guest speaker, and other notable maritime professionals

The gathering served as a strategic platform for dialogue among industry leaders, policymakers, and maritime professionals on how to unlock greater efficiency, strengthen competitiveness, and accelerate Nigeria’s positioning as a leading maritime hub in Africa.

Key highlights from the meeting included

● Deep insights into maritime trade opportunities enabled by the Lekki Deep Sea Port.

● Discussions on policy and regulatory frameworks to drive seamless shipping operations.

● Calls for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the sustainable growth of Nigeria’s maritime economy.
