n this week’s issue of the Maritime Titbits: The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has debunked speculation that it has reduced duty on vehicles from 35% to 20%.
Customs spokesman, Timi Bomodi said the existing 35% duty rate on imported vehicles remains.
Some clearing agents claimed on Friday that the duty rate applicable on the Common External Tariff (CET) trade portal on vehicles under HS Code 8703 was reduced to 20%, a situation that created confusion among the agents. However, the Customs spokesman disputed this.
