Understanding Cabotage And Local Content In The Nigerian Oil & Gas Industry (upstream)

Venue: The Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, Victoria Island, Lagos

Date: 25TH – 27TH JUNE, 2013

Time: 8:30AM DAILY

The objective of the course is to enhance the understanding of the link between the Maritime sector and the Oil and Gas Upstream Business including the associated ancillary services.

Local/Indigenous operators in the industry are still at a disadvantage compared to their foreign counterparts in ship management, vessel operations, offshore logistics etc. This makes it difficult for local operators to secure contracts, have a better understanding of contracts and investment opportunities in the sector.

The course therefore is designed to expose a more practical perspective and approach to vessel operations which will eventually lead to a good understanding of international best practices.
